Living room
Minneapolis condo
Photo of kitchen

This project had a unique issue. It combined two condominiums into one; however, each existing condominium, although adjascent, were in different buildings with different floor elevations!

The existing buildings were original railroad warehouses built of brick with heavy timber interior columns and beams. The design required opening up the brick partition wall separating the two buildings and constructing a subfloor structure in one unit to elevate and match the other unit's floor.

Just for fun
A view of the kitchen area before remodeling.
The exposed charm of the interior wood and brick elements were kept while designing inviting spaces for living and entertaining.
The clients wanted a setting that would display their art collection.
